Dance ‘Til Dusk

Calling all ElderGoths and other dark music fans of a certain age: Do you still love swirling and stomping on the dancefloor, but find that it’s getting harder to stay awake for club nights that start at 10 PM and don’t really get going until midnight? And when you do make it out and stick around until closing time, does it take you a couple of days to recover?

If so, Stained Productions has a solution for you!

On Saturday June 1st from 3 PM to 7 PM, please join us in the gorgeous Ground Control Lounge (1279 Queen St. W., Toronto) for DANCE ‘TIL DUSK, a dark afternoon dance party. DJ Greg Clow will be playing your favourite goth, industrial, post-punk, and other dark retro sounds; you can enjoy socializing with friends and having a drink or two from the bar; and you’ll get home in time for a takeaway dinner and a movie before going to bed at a reasonable hour. (Or if you prefer, stay out and keep the party going until the wee hours – no judgement here!)

We’d also like to note that this event is a bit of an experiment for us. In conversations with attendees at our other events such as Toronto Dark Arts Market and Goth Bingo Night, a lot of people have said it’s a good idea, and if it goes well, it could become a semi-regular thing. But we need your support to make that happen.

So please come out to DANCE ‘TIL DUSK if you can, and also be sure to have a couple of drinks (alcoholic or non) while you’re there so our friendly hosts at Ground Control will know that it’s worth their while to open their doors for events outside of typical nightclub hours. Because even if it’s light outside, we’ll always keep things dark on the dancefloor…
